Knotty by Nature is a small 1982 park model cabin under tall white pines in Spruce Hollow, inside Linville Land Harbor. One bedroom, one bath, a real kitchen and a long covered porch that does most of the living.
The name is half knotty pine and half a nod to the old hip-hop group. It's meant to be a little playful. You come up the mountain, the stress stays down at the bottom, and the rest of the day belongs to the porch and the fire pit.
These photos show the cabin finished. We're completing the work over the winter, and real photos take their place in the spring.

Charlie and Will
Charlie, our Australian Shepherd, claimed the porch daybed. Will, our Golden Retriever, kept watch at the slider. This was their place as much as ours, so they're still the hosts.
